OSHA 10 Safety Training [December 16-17, 2019]

      Campbell County ATC Masonry

The Masonry Program prepares students for employment in the Construction Industry, primarily in the Masonry and Concrete Trades.  The two year program starts with Intro to Masonry (Brick Laying Skills), progresses to Intermediate Masonry (Block Laying Skills), and then Advanced Masonry (Advanced Mason Skills).

Students will gain experience in employability skills, leadership skills, math skills, construction drawings, Construction Safety (OSHA 10/30), and First Aid/CPR training.  The content of these courses trains students to be successful whether entering the work force, or continuing education with an apprenticeship program or post secondary education.

Students enrolled in the Masonry Program at Campbell County Area Technology Center can earn college credit at Somerset Community College and other KCTCS Institutions throughout Kentucky.  Students can also earn a high school math credit while enrolled in the masonry program. A Co-Op Education Program is available as a part of this course.

The Masonry Program provides hands on experience and the opportunity to receive an Industry Certification through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). With an NCCER Certification, your child can be added to a national database where construction companies search when looking for new employees.  The NCCER Industry Certification is also recognized by many apprenticeship programs and can count for as much as a year of service towards Journeyman Status.
