CCATC Health Science Program for 2021-22

We are pleased to announce some new changes to the Health Science Program at the Campbell County ATC for the 2021-2022 school year.  Shannon has been a Registered Nurse since 2007 and is currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  She has been employed at St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas, on the Transitional Care Unit, for over 3 years.  Prior to that, she has worked at St. Elizabeth Home Health Care, Oncology Hematology Care, Inc., and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

As Ms. Noakes assumes control of our Health Science Program, we will transition the program into a streamlined Career Pathway that can be accomplished in 1 year.  THIS WILL BE A RIGOROUS, INTENSE COURSE.  We offer a Pre-Nursing Career Pathway that is currently in very high demand.  We will focus on recruiting both juniors and seniors who have chosen Nursing as a career.  Here are several benefits and opportunities that will be offered through our program:

  • 1 year program
  • Dual Credit (students must attain a 2.0 overall GPA to be eligible for Dual Credit)
  • CNA (Certified Nurse Aid) opportunity
  • St. Elizabeth Healthcare exposure and opportunities
  • Co-op opportunities upon successful completion of certification

This transition is ideal for the senior student who may not have had the opportunity in their schedule to attend the ATC in their junior year.  It also offers the flexibility, as a junior or senior, to attend in the morning or afternoon session.

PLEASE NOTE THE IMPORTANT CHANGE WITH THE HEALTH SCIENCE SLOTS:

Since we have streamlined the Health Science program to one year, a junior OR a senior can be enrolled in the Health Science program in the morning or afternoon.
